DLA Piper Canada welcomes associate Stephanie Ovens
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes back Stephanie Ovens as an associate to the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations group, where she focuses on family law and estate matters. She has appeared at all levels of court in B.C., as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration.
Stephanie’s family law practice includes matters pertaining to asset division and support issues, as well as cohabitation, marriage, and separation agreements. Her estate practice covers a broad spectrum, and includes wills variation claims, common law trust claims, and claims relating to documents that do not meet the formality requirements of a will in B.C. Stephanie’s practice also includes situations where estate matters and family law intersect, including seeking support and enforcing agreements against an estate, and issues of contested separation and spousal status.
She is a regular contributor to the Continuing Legal Education Society of B.C.’s family law publications.
Stephanie first joined the firm as a summer student in 2016 and after articling, practised as an associate in our Vancouver office for a number of years.
