Karina Lynch spent five years on Capitol Hill, where she served as counsel to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, and Committee on Government Affairs, under the chairmanship of Senator Susan Collins. Prior to holding that position, Karina served as investigative counsel to Senator Charles Grassley and worked on issues related to fraud and abuse in the Medicare and Medicaid systems. She worked closely with the General Accountability Office to monitor systems compliance at the Social Security Administration and CMS. She worked on investigations involving CMS to improve nursing home quality care. She also worked with the Federal Trade Commission to monitor anti-competitive practices in the pharmaceutical market.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Karina was a partner at a large law firm in Washington, DC for over two decades, where she represented numerous Fortune 50 and Fortune 100 clients with a particular focus on healthcare issues. In addition, Karina led the firm's oversight & investigations practice and successfully represented clients facing crises on Capitol Hill.
