DLA Piper named amongst top ten law firms in Poland

DLA Piper Poland has retained its position amongst the top ten law firms in the country according to the latest rankings released by Rzeczpospolita, a leading Polish daily newspaper. The rankings analysed over 350 law firms and over 10,000 lawyers.

The firm’s Poland office has a headcount of 130 lawyers, including 83 advocates and attorneys-at-law. The firm was recognised by the rankings’ judging panel for its role advising on the acquisition of a majority stake in one of Romania’s leading FMCG distributors – DRIM Daniel Distributie. The firm was also named as a leading law firm in the pharmaceutical and medical law category and a recommended law firm in the environmental law category.

Amongst individual commendations, Andrzej Balicki, partner in the Life Sciences practice in the Warsaw office, was recognised as a leading lawyer in the pharmaceutical and medical law category.
