Alex Hudson is a partner in the firm’s Vancouver office, where he is a member of the firm’s Litigation, Arbitration, and Investigations Group. His practice is focused on commercial and regulatory litigation, transportation law, and access to information and privacy matters.

Alex regularly advises clients faced with a variety of complex business disputes and regulatory issues. He has assisted clients in wide range of industries, including forestry, energy, mining, real estate, technology, and financial services. 

As a member of DLA Piper’s Chambers Band 1 rail transportation practice, Alex helps clients in rail-served industries resolve disputes with railway companies. He has significant experience using remedies like final offer arbitration and level of service arbitration to help shippers achieve better rail rates and service. Chambers Canada recognized Alex’s work as ‎a transportation lawyer in the 2024 edition of their guide. 

Alex has represented clients at all levels of the British Columbia and Federal courts, in arbitration proceedings, and before administrative tribunals such as the Canadian Transportation Agency.
