DLA Piper advises AC2 in US$75 million financing
DLA Piper advised AC2, a joint venture formed by Affinius Capital, a US-based institutional real estate investment firm, and Artha Capital, one of Mexico’s most active real estate fund managers, developers and operators, in a US$75 million financing granted by Banorte for strategic development of a 97,231 square meter industrial build-to-suit in phase II of the PLATAH industrial park in Hidalgo, Mexico.
“The DLA Piper team led by Roberto Rios provided invaluable counsel to our AC2 venture for the construction financing for this industrial development,” stated Aaron Retersdorf, vice president of capital markets for Affinius Capital. “We are thankful that DLA Piper assisted us in navigating the complex cross-border lending landscape in Mexico to ensure a smooth closing.”
The DLA Piper team was led by partner Robert Rios Artigas (Mexico City) and included associates Javier Pichardini, Eduardo Gallástegui, and Susana Guizar (all in Mexico City).
