DLA Piper advises Stealth Monitoring in combination with Eyewitness Surveillance

DLA Piper represented Stealth Monitoring in its combination with Eyewitness Surveillance to create a leading technology-driven commercial video surveillance company.

Dallas-based Stealth and Hanover, Maryland-based Eyewitness are both leading video surveillance businesses focused on designing, installing and providing pro-active remote video monitoring solutions and related services.

The combination of Stealth and Eyewitness will include more than 1,000 employees across 33 offices and will provide monitoring of nearly 50,000 cameras at more than 3,000 client sites across North America. The combined business will bring together deep industry experience across multiple verticals, including construction sites, auto dealers, shopping centers, apartment and office buildings, distribution yards, scrap metal facilities, and other businesses with outdoor assets or requirements for physical security guards.

“We were thrilled to advise Stealth in its combination with Eyewitness, utilizing our extensive experience and resources across our M&A, private equity and technology practices,” said Marc Samuel, the DLA Piper partner who led the firm’s deal team.

“I was very impressed with the care and overall quality of work from DLA Piper’s team,” said Joseph A. Wyly, Stealth general counsel. “I also really appreciated Marc’s close attention and involvement throughout the transaction.”

In addition to Samuel (Washington, DC), the DLA Piper deal team was led by partner Peter Alfano (New York) and associates Melissa Sampson and Shirley Qin (both of Washington, DC).

With more than 1,000 corporate lawyers globally, DLA Piper helps clients execute complex cross-border transactions seamlessly while supporting clients across all stages of development. The firm has been rated number one in global M&A volume for 11 consecutive years, according to Mergermarket.
