Eric takes pride in his extensive pro bono achievements, having successfully represented marginalized individuals in several contexts. He won asylum for an indigenous woman who settled in the United States fleeing gang violence more than 10 years ago. He served on the two-person case team that won habeas relief for a Wisconsin prisoner denied his Sixth Amendment rights. And he played a key role in the trial team that defeated a lawsuit by the Sons of Confederate Veterans to preserve Confederate statues at the heart of a violent protest in Charlottesville, Virginia. Most recently, Eric helped defeat a motion to dismiss on behalf of a college student who suffered severe mistreatment at the hands of campus police.
