Global law firm DLA Piper has advised Nuix (ASX:NXL) on the acquisition of Topos Labs, Inc. (Topos), a developer of Natural Language Processing (NLP) software that helps computer systems better understand text and spoken words at speed and scale.

DLA Piper’s cross-border team was led by Australian corporate partner Mark Burger and US partner Marc Samuel, supported by Susan Kim and Kristen Pappas.

Brian Krupczak, General Counsel at Nuix, said: “DLA Piper has been a long trusted partner of Nuix and it was a pleasure to work with their cross border team on this transaction.”

Marc Samuel said: “We’re thrilled to support Nuix on this transaction, bringing together our multi-jurisdictional M&A capabilities and software experience.”

Mark Burger added: “DLA Piper has a long standing global relationship with Nuix and we are excited to see it strengthen its product offering through Topos’ software.”
