DLA Piper advises PIB Group on the acquisition of Litica
DLA Piper has advised PIB Group on its acquisition of Litica, a market-leading litigation insurance provider.
Founded in London in 2019 by co-founding directors Stephen Bolster and Steve Ruffle, Litica has rapidly expanded its operations to Australia, the United States, and Germany. As a Managing General Agent, Litica specialises in offering a range of insurance-backed solutions for private and corporate clients involved in litigation or arbitration. The company’s extensive panel of insurer backers and status as a Lloyd’s coverholder provide significant insurance capacity, enabling them to underwrite a variety of complex and high-value litigation types.
This milestone transaction marks a significant enhancement of PIB's capabilities in the litigation insurance sector, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional insurance solutions to clients worldwide. The acquisition of Litica strengthens PIB’s presence in the sector and provides an exciting platform for further growth.
