DLA Piper appoints restructuring and insolvency partner Dr Sven Schelo
DLA Piper strengthens its international restructuring practice with the appointment of Dr Sven Schelo as a partner in Germany, effective 17 June 2024.
Dr Sven Schelo joins from Linklaters, where he was appointed partner in 2008. He is specialised in the restructuring of banks and financial institutions and advises on the restructuring of companies and their shareholders. He also supports creditors in debt-restructurings and advises on distressed M&A.
He was a member of the European Commission’s expert group on the drafting of a bank restructuring and resolution directive (ILEG) and is a member of the board of trustees of the Centre for Insolvency and Restructuring at the University of Mannheim and INSOL Europe, the largest European association of restructuring advisors and insolvency administrators.
