DLA Piper expands Corporate practice with strategic M&A Partner hire in Bangkok

DLA Piper announces the appointment of Thananan Sangnuan as a Partner in its Corporate practice, based in the Bangkok office.

Thananan Sangnuan joins our Corporate practice from Baker McKenzie, where she was a Partner in the financial services sector. With over 20 years’ experience, Thananan advises financial institutions on banking and financial regulatory matters. She has extensive experience in M&A, asset management, corporate and debt restructuring, joint ventures, private equity, and capital markets transactions.

Commenting on the hire, Luke Gannon, who leads DLA Piper’s Corporate practice in Asia, said: “I am delighted to welcome Thananan to our team in Bangkok. As an experienced M&A lawyer, her appointment supports our Asia Corporate group’s active and long-term strategy to continue developing our M&A practice across Asia, especially the ASEAN region which continues to attract significant investment. The team and I are very much looking forward to her joining us.”

DLA Piper’s International Global Co-Chair of Corporate, Benjamin Parameswaran, added: “Our M&A practice is recognised as a global market leader, having built a track record for consistently executing more deals globally than any other law firm. We have been ranked #1 for global M&A deal volume by Mergermarket for the last 13 years in a row (2010-2022), representing our involvement in over 7,000 transactions during that time. Thananan’s appointment adds breadth and depth to the team by providing both corporate/M&A and financial regulatory advice to financial institutions.”
