Greg Ferroni is a patent litigation trial attorney. His practice spans defending myriad technical fields, including pharmaceutical, life science, and medical device companies. Greg also has litigated design patent, trademark, and trade dress claims. He is a dedicated lawyer who regularly handles complex matters, including multidistrict patent disputes, product liability actions, and complex commercial litigation.

He has extensive experience with fact and expert witness development, discovery, depositions, dispositive motion practice, and trial preparation. He has taken and defended numerous party and expert witness depositions in patent litigation and product liability matters. He routinely represents clients in federal and state court.

Greg is a born-and-raised Philadelphian. Before joining DLA Piper, Greg clerked for the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In law school, Greg served as an intern for the Honorable Elizabeth T. Hey, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Before practicing law, Greg worked in oncological medical education, and his undergraduate research in mycobacteriophages has been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals.  Greg also has published two ethical research papers addressing Roman Catholic dogma.

Greg devotes significant time to his pro bono practice. He regularly assists local Philadelphia organizations, particularly the Eastern District of Pennsylvania’s Supervision to Aid Reentry (“STAR”) program and Philadelphia VIP. With these organizations, Greg has represented individuals in landlord-tenant, guardianship, immigration, and traffic disputes.
