Ilse Van de Mierop is experienced in corporate law, business support and restructuring. She advises national and international clients and provides international solutions for businesses with assets across borders.
She is active in bankruptcy law and is regularly appointed as receiver, liquidator and provisional administrator by the Brussels insolvency court. This can involve the management and sale of real estate buildings, the transfer of concessions, drafting of sale and building lease contracts, reviewing finance, litigation on the validity or enforceability of certain actions, advice on the European Insolvency Directive, litigation on the liabilities of directors, advice on the continuity of business and also counselling banks in debt collection proceedings after bankruptcy.
In relation to seizures and enforcement, Ilse has been involved in several important debt collection files and acted on behalf of banks.
On the restructuring side, she advises and collaborates with advisers and managers of (as well as investors in) under performing companies, on issues such as debt restructuring, refinancing and enhancing security.
Ilse further provides corporate advice on directors' or auditors liability and white collar criminal offences/fraud.
She acts as administrator to several companies including Belgium's national airline.
