Gina Durham named to the Daily Journal’s 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that partner Gina Durham, vice chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology practice, was named to the Daily Journal's 2024 Top Intellectual Property Lawyers list recognizing the top IP attorneys in California.
In its profile of Durham, the Daily Journal noted that she won a permanent injunction and award of attorneys’ fees in favor of her client Midjourney, one of the most popular text-to-image generative AI companies in the world, in a trademark infringement case, and that she represents the Estate of Jackie Robinson in legal matters related to Robinson’s name and image.
Durham focuses her practice in the areas of trademark, copyright, right of publicity, trade dress, false advertising, and disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence. She has more than two decades of experience in disputes surrounding questions of proprietary rights in emerging technologies, from the earliest web-scraping disputes to the latest generative AI models.
