ABL Breakfast Forum

25 March 2025, 09:00 – 11:00 GMT

DLA Piper
160 Aldersgate Street
London
EC1A 4HT

Please join us for our first ABL Forum of 2025, as we welcome colleagues and contacts from across the ABL sector to our London office on Tuesday, 25 March 2025.

We are pleased to be joined once more by Lord Gavin Barwell, former Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister and now senior strategic and political consultant at DLA Piper. In his now-customary session for us to start the year, Gavin will reflect on a period of multiple elections, the Trump effect, the difficult route to growth in the UK, and on what we might expect politically and economically in 2025.

As usual, there will be opportunities for networking before and after the main session.

Speaker

The Rt Hon. Lord Gavin Barwell

Lord (Gavin) Barwell helps DLA Piper’s clients to devise effective government engagement strategies. He also provides political horizon-scanning briefings for boards and senior executive teams. Previously, Lord Barwell served as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister from June 2017 to July 2019 during one of the most turbulent periods in British political history. As the Prime Minister’s senior political adviser, he was intimately involved in the workings of Whitehall, the conduct of the Brexit negotiations and the development of key domestic policies such as the long-term plan for the NHS and the UK’s commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
