Amadeu has more than 25 years of experience advising clients on complex cross-border antitrust matters and investigations, including merger review cases, cartel, bid-rigging and abuse of dominance investigations. Over his career, Amadeu has advised clients from various sectors, including aviation, automotive, energy and natural resources, food and beverage, life sciences, and technology.
As a dual-licensed attorney active in both the United States and Brazil, Amadeu also serves as a trusted advisor to Brazilian companies with their cross-border legal matters in the Americas, advising them on matters ranging from complex transactions and market entry to compliance and regulatory issues.
Chambers 2023 ranks Amadeu as an "eminent antitrust practitioner." In 2021, the American Bar Association awarded him with the "Outstanding Performance Award." Amadeu is also ranked as a leading antitrust practitioner by virtually all other major legal publications, including Legal 500, Global Competition Review, Euromoney, LACCA, Latin Lawyer 250, and Who’s Who Legal.
Amadeu is part of the leadership of the American Bar Association - Antitrust Law Section and the Vice-President of the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce in New York. He is also an adjunct professor at the Fordham University School of Law in New York.
