About

Charlotte Sas practices business law with a special focus on litigation, the restructuring of companies and insolvency law. She has been instrumental in all important insolvency cases the group takes on. Charlotte has in-depth knowledge of judicial reorganisation proceedings and is the key lawyer in relation to the court-appointed mandates the group takes on, as well as the client files. She is also acknowledged as a strong litigator and regularly pleads before the courts in both insolvency and commercial matters.

Charlotte’s market standing and experience in insolvency law has been recognized by the Dutch speaking Enterprise Court of Brussels, that registered her on the list of trustees in bankruptcy. She is also ranked as a 'rising star' in insolvency by Legal 500.

Given her experience with restructuring in the retail sector, Charlotte was also appointed as co-head of the Belgian DLA Piper Retail Sector. Charlotte also represents our insolvency and restructuring team in the Belgian DLA Piper Pro Bono Committee and has given pro bono lectures on business transactions in Brussels (Know Your Rights Program) and Nairobi (New Perimeter Program).
