DLA Piper launches One Global Community programme to boost global collaboration and networking

DLA Piper has launched a new global programme to enhance strategic alignment, integration and collaboration across its global footprint.

The One Global Community programme supports the firm’s alignment strategy that sees practice group and sector teams work seamlessly to share knowledge and network across its global footprint, all resulting in providing best-in-class service to clients.

Through the One Global Community programme, DLA Piper is hosting a series of cross-practice and/or cross-sector spin-off events around 13 of its well-established conferences around the globe to broaden links and relationships with clients and its people’s networks around the firm.

The programme began with its first client event held in Madrid, which saw over 300 clients attend from a range of business sectors. During the event, the firm’s people and clients focused on a range of topics from the firm’s presence in the LatAm market, through to in-depth discussions around some of the biggest challenges which impact businesses with operations across LatAm. Alongside, significant clients of the firm also attended the event to highlight some of their key challenges and how they were future proofing their legal functions.

Dr. Olaf Schmidt, Managing Director, Practice Groups said: “The programme was created to support the firm’s alignment strategy. By putting a greater emphasis on networking with our clients, our people and firm is positioned to support clients through all legal challenges which they face, in almost every country where they operate.”

Sandra Wallace, co-Managing Director, UK & Europe added: “As part of this programme, we have planned a number of events and networking opportunities which focus on some of the biggest challenges our clients face, such as supply chains, artificial intelligence and energy transition.”
