DLA Piper advises Bellevue Gold Limited

DLA Piper has advised Bellevue Gold Limited (ASX: BGL) (BGL) on the tender process and subsequent power purchase agreement for the development of a new off-grid solar, wind, and battery hybrid power station at the Bellevue Gold Project 400km north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. 

The hybrid power station is forecast to deliver up to 80% of its 88MW capacity from renewable sources and is a key part of BGL’s plan to reach net zero emissions by 2026.

“We were delighted to advise on this market-leading project, the company has the aspirational goal to become the first ASX-listed company to produce carbon neutral gold,” said Perth-based Alyson Eather, Partner, DLA Piper.

“The project has the ability to deliver carbon neutral gold, which will be a competitive advantage in global and local investment markets,” Alyson said.
