Denise Lebeau-Marianna has a contentious and advisory practice in data protection and cybersecurity.
Her clients cover a wide scope of sectors including Information technology, food & beverages, luxury, Lifesciences, banking, insurance, aeronautic and defense.
Denise has an in depth experience in building up global compliance projects (GDPR), and cybersecurity programs. She regularly advises on regulatory compliance obligations in cybersecurity (including NIS2 Directive, Dora Act, Cyber Resilience Act, Critical Entities Resilience Directive) and on the implementation of strategic data governance projects, notably in relation with their compliance with the new EU Digital Decade Regulations (Digital Service Act, AI Act, Data Act and Data Governance Act). She is often solicited on the complex issues raised by sensitive data processing activities (resulting from global transborder data flows and legal obligations - anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, fight against terrorism financing and counterfeiting - fraud detection, e-discovery procedures and internal investigations). She is also regularly involved in projects requiring a sector-oriented approach, such as healthcare, financial or insurance sectors, thanks to her long-standing relationship with clients in these sectors.
She assists her clients when confronted to CNIL dawn raids and in the event of contentious before the CNIL’s Restricted Committee or French commercial, civil or administrative courts.
Denise has 30 years’ experience in new technologies laws, data protection regulation and cybersecurity. She is a EuroPriSe certified expert in data protection and CIPP/E accredited.
