English-language webinar series: DLA Piper – Transfer Pricing Insights Germany

Our series of webinars that take place quarterly provides an update on the most relevant developments in the legislative environment that governs transfer pricing in Germany. Each webinar summarises the most relevant developments in legislation, case law and promulgations from the tax administration and offers insights on the practical implications.

The webinar on 23 September 2024 analyzed the recent case law on business restructurings namely from the Lower Tax Court of Lower Saxony and covered the change in the Application Guidelines Advance Pricing Agreement pursuant to the creation of a legal basis for APAs in section 89a of the General Tax Code. Moreover, we have analyzed the impact of the new draft of chapter J. of the German guidance on transfer pricing in relation to financial transactions which reveals a need to review all historic intra-group loans before financial year end 31 December 2024 if the financial year is the calendar year.
