Sophie Levett is a technology and outsourcing lawyer, with extensive experience in complex and strategic sourcing and commercial matters, including business process and IT outsourcing, IT change and digital transformation, and the adoption of emerging technologies. Sophie also has broad experience in general commercial and supply chain contracting.

Sophie supports a wide range of national and international clients in many sectors, with a particular focus on Retail and Fashion, Financial Services, Telecoms and Technology. Sophie has also completed a number of in-house secondments to major clients.

Sophie is a founding member of the firm’s Women in Technology group.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advised a major retail banking group on one of the UK's largest ever multi-vendor IT outsource projects, valued at over £3 billion and involving contracts covering service towers across multiple directorates and platforms, supporting the bank's most business critical operations.
  • Advised a British fashion retailer on various business critical software and SaaS licensing arrangements.
  • Advised a national insurer on the phased first generation ITO of multiple service towers, in conjunction with the separation and sale of their general insurance business, as part of their largest ever programme of change and transformation.
  • Advised a British jewellery company on collaboration agreements with several fashion houses, which enabled one-of-a-kind collaboration while still protecting key brand assets.
  • Advised an international telecoms business on the first generation outsource of a core digital business support system, for use across multiple subsidiaries and geographies. This significantly improved business processes, as well as increasing revenues across the group.
  • Advised various fashion start-ups as part of the British Fashion Council NEWGEN programme, and recipients of the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund.
