DLA Piper advises EDPR Renewables Polska on the sale of stake in renewable energy portfolio to ORLEN
DLA Piper has advised EDP Renewables Polska on the sale of a renewable energy portfolio comprising of two photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 280 MWp and a wind farm hosting 13 turbines with a total capacity of 26 MW to the ORLEN Group in a transaction worth PLN1.15 billion. The two photovoltaic farms are in the province of Zielona Góra while the wind farm is in the province of Łódź.
The acquisition will allow the Orlen Group to increase its renewable energy sources (RES) portfolio by over 300 MWp, which corresponds to an almost 30% increase in its generating capacity.EDP Renewables Polska is the Polish subsidiary of EDP Renewables (EDP Renováveis S.A.), a global leader in the renewable energy sector and the fourth largest wind energy producer in the world.
