William Britton is a corporate lawyer, with experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial issues, including contentious matters. 

He regularly advises clients on general corporate and commercial issues, M&A, contract negotiation, corporate governance, and continues to advise clients on contentious disputes. William has also assisted with a number of regulatory investigations by the Financial Markets Authority. 

William supports domestic and international clients across a wide range of industries including retail, real estate and food and beverage.

  • Advising Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa Limited on a number of significant commercial property transactions.
  • Advising DIF Capital Partners on a consortium bid for Vector's smart metering business. 
  • Advising Bessemer Venture Partners on its Series C investment in Halter USA, Inc.
  • Assisting with a 5-week trial between a Body Corporate and their insurer for alleged defective repair works. 
  • Advising Foodstuffs North Island Limited, New Zealand's largest retail supermarket operator, in relation to all aspects of their seismic remediation programme.
