Deborah provides assistance to various national and international clients in relation to commercial, technology and privacy related matters, as well as in the consumer law and e-commerce fields. She has a strong legal problem-solving attitude with a particularly business-oriented approach that helps clients to comply with the applicable regulatory framework in a practical and operative manner. Deborah has managed many multi-jurisdictional projects for the compliance of international companies operating in more than 20 countries, successfully collaborating with colleagues worldwide.
Deborah successfully advises on data protection, with a focus on customer relationship management programmes, social and marketing initiatives, as well as on employees related issues (e.g., processing of special categories of data, including inclusion & diversity data, IT monitoring, Covid-19 preventive measures and checks, etc.). Also, Deborah helps clients to innovate their business, supporting them in the implementation of digital projects and the launch of new sales channels, including e-commerce. She has expertise in the retail sector, also strategically assisting clients on their franchising or distribution projects.
During her time at DLA Piper, Deborah has joined various clients as internal secondee, including at the world's largest e-commerce platform, being part of international working groups.
She regularly speaks and writes on fashion, digital and tech topics, also contributing as a lecturer in the course on Fashion Law at the Marangoni Fashion Institute.
