Kevin Hoy practises in our Restructuring and Insolvency Group.‎

Kevin has an extensive background in insolvency and restructuring and commercial litigation. He has ‎‎successfully represented clients before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Court of ‎‎King’s Bench, and various administrative tribunals. ‎

Kevin’s experience includes acting in numerous insolvency proceedings under ‎the Companies Creditors’ Arrangement Act and Bankruptcy and ‎Insolvency Act for creditors, debtors, and court-appointed receivers and monitors. ‎He has served as lead counsel ‎in multiple civil trials and applications for summary judgment, numerous contested Chambers ‎applications, and has acted for chartered ‎banks and private lenders in residential, commercial, and ‎farmland foreclosure actions.

Kevin’s commercial litigation practice predominately involves shareholder disputes, corporate oppression actions, civil fraud recovery, breach of contract claims, and private funds disputes. Additionally, Kevin regularly advises clients in transactional matters involving distressed assets or transactions requiring court-approved plans of arrangement.
