DLA Piper Canada welcomes Roger Paiement as counsel
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Roger Paiement to the firm’s Montreal office as counsel in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Group. A seasoned litigator, Roger represents his clients before all levels of court in environmental law, municipal law and real estate matters.
Roger has considerable experience advising clients on contaminated land, wetlands, applications for certificates of authorization under the Environment Quality Act, land-use planning, quarries and sandpits, landfill sites and the CPTAQ, among others. He also advises clients on real estate transactions presenting environmental issues. Over the years, he has published a number of articles on wetlands in particular, disguised expropriation, contaminated soils and the professional liability of environmental consultants. Some of these articles have been cited by the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal.
“We are delighted to welcome Roger to the Montreal office,” said Robert Seidel, K.C., Canada Managing Partner. “Roger’s strong reputation for applying a strategic and results-oriented approach towards complex litigation make him an excellent addition to our award-winning litigation team and to our growing environmental and real estate groups.”
