DLA Piper (Canada) LLP to host the 2024 Harold G. Fox Moot
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is proud to once more participate as a platinum sponsor and event co-ordinator of The Harold G. Fox Moot on intellectual property law.
For the eighth consecutive year, DLA Piper Canada will play a key role in organizing this event, which promotes the study of Canadian intellectual property law and allows law students to interact with jurists from Canada’s highest courts. The 2024 moot is co-chaired by DLA Piper Canada IP Partner Bentley Gaikis and Associate Cristina Mihalceanu.
From 23-24 February, nine schools from across Canada will participate in the Moot. This year’s moot will feature judicial panellists from the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court and the Superior Court of Justice for Ontario. The Honourable Leonard P. Stark, Justice of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, will deliver the introductory Fox lecture: “Litigating Patentable Subject Matter: A View From Several Benches”.
The event is named in honour of leading intellectual property scholar and advocate, Harold G. Fox.
