DLA Piper Canada practioners recognized by 2023 MIP Stars

We are thrilled to announce DLA Piper Canada Intellectual Property (IP) practitioners have once again been recognized by Managing Intellectual Property Stars (MIP Stars) as industry leaders in IP.

The firm has maintained it’s outstanding service status in both Patent and Trademark Contentious and Trademark Prosecution categories, and four IP Partners have been recognized as 2023 MIP Stars.

Alan Macek and Geoff Mowatt have been named IP Patent Stars, while Chris Bennett and Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy have been named Trade mark Stars. Bruce W. Stratton and Bentley Gaikis maintain their notable practitioner recognition, while Cristina Mihalceanu and Michal Kasprowicz were recognized as 2022 Rising Stars. In addition, Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy has been named in MIP Stars Top 250 Women in IP for the second consecutive year.

MIP Stars Top 250 Women in IP recognizes female IP practitioners who have provided outstanding client service from September 2022-Feburary 2023 and are select from the 2023 IP Star recognitions. The research is conducted across over 30 jurisdictions, and identifies senior female IP practitioners in private practice who have “performed exceptionally well for their clients and firms in the past year”.
