DLA Piper advises healthcare modular buildings specialist Darwin Group on acquisition by Portakabin
DLA Piper has advised the shareholders of healthcare modular buildings specialist Darwin Group on their sale of the business to Portakabin.
The combined modular knowledge of Portakabin and specialist healthcare expertise of Darwin Group will offer healthcare providers both temporary and permanent building solutions to cover all future clinical and non-clinical requirements.
Darwin Group is headquartered in Telford, has c. 200 employees, and had a turnover of GBP80 million in 2022.
The DLA Piper Corporate team was led by partner Tim Lake, supported by senior associate Peter McHugh, associates Kirsty Underhill and Clodagh Lodge and trainee solicitor James Watson. The wider DLA Piper team included partner Stephen Bottley (Finance) and associate Neel Govind Lalwani (Finance) and legal director Nick Hinton (Tax).
