DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Dan Misutka
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to welcome Dan Misutka as Counsel to the Tax as well as the Public and Administrative Law groups in our Calgary office. Dan is an experienced, senior litigator with a practice focussed on tax dispute resolution and administrative law matters.
Dan has extensive trial experience and has appeared before all levels of courts in Alberta, the Federal Court and the Tax Court of Canada. Time and again his experience has allowed him to help clients achieve meaningful resolution of tax disputes at early stages. Dan presents regularly on tax dispute resolution topics and has taught professional development courses for the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (now CPA Canada).
Before entering private practice, Dan was a senior federal prosecutor and later transitioned into a role as tax litigation counsel for the Minister of National Revenue. Prior to joining DLA Piper, he was a Partner at a recognized international firm.
