DLA Piper Canada advised Nova Royalty on acquisition of producing royalty on Aura Mineral’s Aranzazu copper mine and on its public offering of shares
On August 27, 2021, Nova Royalty Corp. (“Nova”) (TSXV: NOVR) announced that it had completed its acquisition of an existing 1.0% net smelter return royalty on the Aranzazu copper-gold-silver mine in Zacatecas, Mexico, which is 100% owned by Aura Minerals Inc. (TSX: ORA) for US$9 million. DLA Piper Canada acted for Nova in this transaction, in addition to a C$13 million public offering of common shares for Nova announced August 25, 2021.
The public offering of common shares was conducted by PI Financial Corp., as lead agent, and Cantor Fitzgerald Canada Corporation, as co-bookrunner, on behalf of a syndicate of agents including BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc.
Nova is a Vancouver-based royalty company focused on providing investors with exposure to the building blocks of clean energy - copper and nickel.
