DLA Piper (Canada) LLP welcomes Partner Jerritt R. Pawlyk
DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Jerritt R. Pawlyk has joined the firm as a Partner in the Edmonton office. Jerritt has a restructuring and insolvency practice and is an experienced advocate and advisor for clients across many industries, in particular the real estate and real estate finance sector.
With over 15 years representing clients in all aspects of the insolvency process, Jerritt has acted extensively for lenders, distressed companies, receivers, creditors, trustees, monitors and other professionals in all types of proceedings. In particular, Jerritt has gained a unique understanding of the restructuring of real estate projects and companies, including creative uses of the Companies’ Creditors Arrangements Act to achieve favourable results for his clients. In addition to his restructuring work, Jerritt also advises on builders’ liens and other construction related issues, as well as commercial litigation, especially when these issues intersect with Insolvency.
Jerritt joins us from an Alberta-based full-service firm where he was Partner for a number of years.
