Sydney Hu focuses her practice on US employment matters, including counseling management on compliance issues, hiring and terminating employees, and workplace investigations. As part of her counseling practice, Sydney assists employers with drafting employment agreements and restrictive covenants and advises corporate and private equity clients on employment matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Sydney's practice also includes litigation involving defense of claims of employment discrimination, retaliation, and harassment, as well as claims brought pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act and state and local wage and hour laws, disputes involving the enforcement of employment contracts and non-competition covenants, and tort claims. In addition to representing management clients in federal and state courts, she handles matters before administrative agencies (such as the EEOC and DOL).
