About

César is location head of the Financing, Project and Restructuring Department in DLA Piper Spain. César has extensive experience in the areas of leveraged finance, real estate finance, project finance and corporate finance, both nationally and internationally.

He has been involved in several of the most representative transactions in recent years in the Spanish financial and banking market. He is also a regular speaker on legal issues related to financing at leading Spanish universities and business schools and has published numerous articles in various legal and business publications.

Previously, he worked in another important international law firm and as a lawyer in the legal department of a prestigious financial institution.

Prior Experience

Prior to joining DLA, César worked nine years for global law firm. Prior to that, he worked as attorney with the in-house corporate banking and investment legal counsel at Citigroup and was part of the legal banking department for a large global law firm.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Lecturer on the ‘Official master's degree in business law’ at the University of Comillas - ICADE, on the ‘Official Master's Degree in Legal Sciences and Contract Law’ at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and on the ‘Master's Degree in International Law’ at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (ISDE), all taught entirely in English.
