Seven DLA Piper partners receive 2024 Lawyers in Real Estate awards from Connect CRE

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that partners Barbara Trachtenberg, Geoff Howell, Jerry Neuman, Stacy Osmond, Michael Haworth, J. Pieratt and Lauren Rico were honored by Connect CRE with 2024 Lawyers in Real Estate awards. Each year, the publication highlights a select group of real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.

Trachtenberg, a partner in DLA Piper’s Boston office, was recognized in the National category. She is a trusted advisor to real estate investors, providing practical, business-oriented solutions in all aspects of real estate transactions and a diverse range of asset classes throughout the country. She has particular experience in joint venture transactions, portfolio transactions and complex structures.

Howell, a partner in DLA Piper’s Boston office, was recognized in the Boston & New England category. He represents regional and national owners and developers, as well as businesses, in a broad variety of complex commercial real estate transactions.

Neuman, who serves as Head of the firm’s California Real Estate and Land Use practice, was recognized in the California category. He has extensive experience in complex regulatory and legislative issues and has been the lead negotiator and project coordinator for many of Southern California’s most important real estate, green energy, infrastructure and governmental procurement projects.

Osmond, a partner in the firm’s Chicago office, was recognized in the Chicago & Midwest category. She concentrates her practice in the areas of joint venture and real estate investment, leasing, real estate financing, acquisitions and dispositions, corporate real estate services, the real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions, development and general real estate.

Haworth is a partner in the firm’s New York office and was recognized in the New York & Tri-State category. He focuses on commercial real estate transactions, often involving cross-border investments between the US, Asia or other jurisdictions. He advises a range of real estate investors, lenders and other market participants on real estate investment matters globally.

Pieratt, who serves as Location Head of the firm’s Austin Real Estate practice, was recognized in the Texas category. He represents national and regional investors, businesses, developers and lenders, helping them acquire, develop, finance, sell and lease commercial real property in Texas and throughout the United States.

Rico is a partner in the firm’s Washington, DC office and was recognized in the Washington, DC category. Her practice focuses on representing private equity funds, family offices, insurance companies, commercial banks, developers and other institutional investors and asset managers in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions.
