Global law firm DLA Piper has successfully advised Perth-based Leichhardt Industrials Group on the completion of its AUD375 million acquisition of the Lake MacLeod Project from Dampier Salt Limited (a subsidiary of Rio Tinto Limited).

"This marks a transformational moment for Leichhardt. We congratulate the Leichhardt team on closing this significant transaction and we look forward to their continued success as owners and operators of a fantastic Western Australian project," said Matthew Watkins, Partner, DLA Piper.
"The Lake MacLeod Project, in addition to Leichhardt's Eramurra Solar Salt Project, provides the basis for Leichhardt to become a major salt producer in Western Australia," added Matthew.
