DLA Piper advises T-Mobile in its acquisition of UScellular’s wireless operations

DLA Piper advised T-Mobile US, Inc. in its acquisition of certain wireless assets and operations of UScellular for a total cash consideration of approximately US$4.4 billion. The acquisition includes UScellular wireless customers and stores, as well as select spectrum assets, in 28 states. 

 

DLA Piper guided T-Mobile on the regulatory aspects of the transaction and will be responsible for securing the required approvals from federal and state regulators. The firm also advised T-Mobile on its recent acquisition of MVNOs Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile and is currently advising the company on its recently announced joint venture with EQT to operate regional fiber operator Lumos.
