DLA Piper Canada teams up with Women+Power‎ to work towards a ‎more diverse and inclusive power industry

As part of our meaningful D&I initiatives, DLA Piper Canada is proud to team up with Women+Power, an organization dedicated to creating a ‎more diverse and inclusive power industry, and to provide opportunities to connect with, support, inspire and recognize each other to empower women to achieve their full potential both professionally and personally.

Since formally launching over a year ago, Women+Power has become a prominent voice in ‎‎the industry. DLA Piper is proud to be part of the community initiatives created by Women+Power as it works towards transformational change. DLA Piper’s Katrina Edgerton-‎McGhan and Patrick Roche have been avid ‎supporters of Women+Power with Katrina Edgerton-McGhan serving as the Chair of the Board. Women+Power has ‎provided a number of seminars on timely D&I matters. Recently, Heather Treacy, Q.C. and Katrina Edgerton-McGhan chaired a wellness seminar (“Building ‎Resilience in a Pandemic”) focussing on pandemic mental health, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Women+Power will ‎be prominent at this Fall’s ‎conference of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta ‎‎(“IPPSA”), the yearly gathering of all ‎key market participants in Alberta’s power industry. ‎

DLA Piper Canada’s title sponsorship and active involvement with Women+Power is an innovative way to partner with clients for social ‎good. ‎
