DLA Piper partner Thanos Matthai named to GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s 2024 list of CRE’s Aspiring Leaders

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Thanos Matthai, a partner in the firm’s Boston office, was named to GlobeSt. Real Estate Forum’s 2024 list of CRE’s Aspiring Leaders recognizing up-and-coming leaders in the real estate industry.

The publication highlighted Matthai’s reputation as an “innovative practitioner and creative problem-solver” and noted his representation of a number of real estate investment advisors in their investment, joint ventures and financings of office, retail, data center, multifamily and industrial assets, as well as his representation of Union Square Station Associates in a platform joint venture with Affinius Capital in development, land use, land assemblage, joint venture and financing matters for the 2.4-million-square-foot Union Square redevelopment in Somerville, Massachusetts.

In his practice, Matthai advises institutional real estate investment advisors, REITs, investment funds and developers on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions across the United States. He regularly works on property acquisition, development and financing transactions for single properties and large portfolios, with a particular focus on joint ventures and complex financing structures.
