Sterling Chan concentrates his practice in corporate and transactional matters working with clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, corporate governance, real estate transactions, as well as a variety of cross-border investments. Sterling represents strategic investors, startups, multinational entities, BtoB/BtoC manufacturers, and private and public companies in industries, including emerging technology, manufacturing, real estate and food and beverage. A substantive portion of the matters Sterling works on are cross-border in nature and deals with a diverse array of transactions in the APAC region, including markets in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore. Before becoming an attorney, Sterling worked on cases related to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, as well as dealing with FCPA compliance from an in-house role. Sterling is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese, as well as conversational in Burmese.
