DLA Piper advises Galaxy Digital on a strategic alliance with DWS

DLA Piper has advised Galaxy Digital (TSX: GLXY), a financial services and investment management innovator in the digital asset and blockchain technology space, on entering into an exclusive strategic alliance with DWS Group (DWS), one of the world's leading asset managers. The alliance will aim to develop a comprehensive suite of exchange-traded products (ETPs) on certain digital assets in Europe, and subsequently explore other digital asset solutions.

Galaxy Digital is a tech-driven financial services and investment management firm that provides institutions and direct clients with a full suite of financial solutions, spanning the digital assets ecosystem. DWS, with EUR821 billion of assets under management (as of 31 December 2022), aspires to be one of the world's leading asset managers, building on more than 60 years of experience. It has a reputation for excellence in Germany, Europe, the Americas and Asia.

As the digital asset market continues to mature, Galaxy and DWS will work together to provide European investors access to the USD1 trillion digital assets market through cost-effective investment solutions that are easy to access via traditional brokerage accounts.

The DLA Piper team advising on the alliance was led by London-based Fintech partner Martin Bartlam. He was supported by associate Marina Troullinou, and senior associate Siffat Khan.
