Global law firm DLA Piper announced today that Ed Sheremeta is re-joining the firm as a senior Real Estate partner in the Asia Pacific Real Estate practice, based in the Hong Kong office. Ed was previously a partner at DLA Piper in Hong Kong, having joined the firm in 2013.

He has extensive knowledge of the Asian real estate sector, having spent a significant proportion of his career working in Japan, China and Hong Kong, advising clients on real estate investment and finance matters.

Commenting on the hire, Asia Regional Managing Partner Satpal Gobindpuri said: “We are delighted to welcome Ed back to our firm. Strengthening our real estate capabilities across the entire region is a key strategic focus and Ed’s appointment reflects our continued investment in the practice. I am confident that Ed will play a significant role in growing the practice and enabling us to build upon our existing client offering in this space.”

Global Co-Chair of the Real Estate practice, Antoine Mercier added “Ed’s extensive experience in key Asia markets, coupled with his knowledge of real estate debt and financing adds another dimension to our already strong real estate offering in Asia. We have an excellent track record advising some of the most complex and high profile real estate matters in the world, and I am thrilled that Ed has re-joined the team.”

Prior to rejoining DLA Piper, Ed was a partner at a leading global law firm in Hong Kong.
