DLA Piper advises on acquisition of leading car rental chain Flex Rent

DLA Piper has advised Resource Partners, an independent private equity investor, on its acquisition of a 40% stake in leading car rental business Flex Rent sp. z o.o..

Flex Rent is the largest airport car rental chain in Poland, maintaining a fleet of 1,500 cars. It currently operates across 11 airports in Poland and Germany, with plans for expansion to an additional nine locations.

Founded in 2009, Resource Partners invests in fast-growing medium-sized companies with experienced management teams. Resource Partners has invested more than EUR300 million in the development of 16 medium-sized companies in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries.

DLA Piper’s advice to Resource Partners included conducting due diligence, negotiation of the transaction documentation, and assistance with the signing of the transaction. A team from the firm’s Warsaw office worked on the matter and was led by partner in the firm’s Corporate practice Jakub Marcinkowski.
