DLA Piper advises Enterprise Investors on its investment in Ekoenergetyka-Polska

DLA Piper Poland advised Polish Enterprise Fund VIII, a private equity fund managed by Enterprise Investors, on its acquisition of a significant minority stake in Ekoenergetyka-Polska, a technology company with global potential as a leading provider of advanced solutions in the area of design and production of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. In total, the fund will invest over PLN200 million in Ekoenergetyka and other e-mobility-related projects. The completion of this transaction is subject to regulatory approval of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland.

Enterprise Investors is one of the largest private equity firms in Central and Eastern Europe. Active since 1990, the firm has raised nine funds with total capital exceeding EUR2.5 billion. These funds have invested EUR2.2 billion in 151 companies across a range of sectors and exited 135 companies with total gross proceeds of EUR4.2 billion.

The transaction team was led by Jakub Domalik-Plakwicz from DLA Piper's Warsaw Corporate and M&A practice and included Rafał Kluziak, Michał Banasiak and Karolina Pichit. Michał Orzechowski and Agnieszka Staszek are responsible for the antitrust issues, including the preparation of the notification to the relevant antitrust authority.
