Ana Paula Chagas joins Campos Mello Advogados, strengthening Environmental Law, Climate Change and ESG practice
<i>Chagas joins new additions Paulo Bessa and Vilmar Gonçalves to further develop the firm’s Brazilian and international capabilities</i>DLA Piper announced today that Ana Paula Chagas has joined Campos Mello Advogados (CMA), which has a cooperation agreement with DLA Piper, as a partner in the Environmental Law, Climate Change and ESG practice.
Chagas brings substantial experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure and mining industries, as well as in agribusiness. She is the latest partner to join CMA’s ESG practice, following the additions of Paulo de Bessa Antunes, an environmental law partner with 30 years’ experience as Regional Federal Prosecutor at the Brazilian Federal Prosecution Office, and Vilmar Gonçalves, an environmental law and strategic litigation partner and Head of Arbitration at CBMA, the Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration, both of whom joined the firm last week.

Chagas holds a master's degree in environmental law from Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne University and is the current chairperson of the Brazilian Bar Association Environmental Commission.
